WHEN THERE WERE BIRDS

An improvisorial collaboration of form, movement, sound and light
This will be a shockingly moving event, one that could not be in a more perfect setting than our barn. Hudson Valley sculptor MILLICENT YOUNG has created (out of horse hair and grape vines) these beautiful beings (there will be a dozen hanging from the rafters) that will be the focus of an evening of sculpture, dance, poetry, and music provided by some of the finest musicians and singers you will ever hear: Timothy Hill, Iva Bittova and Steve Gorn. The event will both enhance and disperse your November melancholia. Yes, that’s a contradiction, but… just come. You’ll see.
Suggested donation, $20; doors open about one hour before sunset, show starts around sunset.
